Astrophysics for People in a Hurry – Neil DeGrasse Tyson
I went in to reading into reading this book with high hopes as everything I’ve heard about this book was good. It certainly didn’t disappoint. the book is amazing and lived up to all expectations.
The book goes from the time of the Big Bang and looks at forces within the universe and how it makes the whole thing works, I really really likes the parts he did about dark matter and how Einstein threw it out of his initial equations because it was only a 50/50 chance of existing. I also like how he goes into talking about quarks and photons because sub atomic particles are cool. There is even a whole fascinating chapter about black holes which is pretty damn interesting.
It’s written for the most part in an easy to understand style. It goes through the creation of the universe in a logical progression. I only felt out of my depth a couple of times but it didn’t take away from the fact it was a fantastic read. This book made me want to look more into Neil DeGrasse Tysons work, black holes and dark matter.
