So, June in the Simple Living challenge is all about food storage and production. After last months disaterous laundry clean challenge we’ve hit something in my wheel house. As a former chef storing and finding ways to use food is something I’m familar with.
The whole idea is making sure you get the longest possible life out of the products you have and make the most of them. Menu planning is a place to start, to make sure you have products that go across multiple dishes. Storing things like fruit, veg and meats properly also means you get longer life from them.
Then there is the art of using things on their way out or in excess. Chutney, jams, soups, pickles and the like. How to use them effectivly is always a good thing.
